I watched a short video on TikTok of a woman in a Ghanaian market, and she stayed with me long after the clip ended. Not because of what she was selling, but because of how she carried herself.
She navigated a language barrier with warmth and ease. When offered a meal in return, she chose modestly. Nothing excessive. Nothing opportunistic.
Her dignity moved me to leave a brief comment beneath the video.
